Meet High School Assistant Coach Philip Venanzi – Defensive & Goalie Coach

We’re excited to introduce High School Assistant Coach Philip Venanzi, who joins our staff as a defensive and goalie specialist.

Philip grew up in Bel Air, Maryland, where he was a multi-sport athlete, playing lacrosse and wrestling throughout his youth. He went on to play collegiate lacrosse as a goalie at Virginia Wesleyan University, competing in the highly respected Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Philip now lives in Everett, WA with his wife, their two cats, and their dog. In addition to coaching, he is proudly serving as an active-duty Corpsman in the United States Navy.

Coaching has always been part of Philip’s life—he grew up around locker rooms while his father coached high school soccer, and that early exposure helped shape his own love for teaching the game. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge, developing confident goalies, and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.

We’re grateful to have Philip bringing his experience, leadership, and enthusiasm to the North Creek lacrosse program.
